Dubai, UAE, October 4, 2016: Celebrating the International Day of Peace, Al Mawakeb Schools - managed by academic solutions provider Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) – recently organized a series of activities for its students.
Students spent the day penning their thoughts on the need for collective efforts to contribute towards global peace. They also expressed their commitment towards creating an inclusive and multi-cultural environment where people of all nationalities, cultures and faiths flourish in harmony.
Students also reflected on United Arab Emirates’ role in promoting peace, as it continues to open its doors to people of all backgrounds, laying a strong foundation that enables everyone to live a fulfilling and peaceful life. Other activities in the school included a drawing session where groups of students painted the iconic ‘white dove’ – a strong symbol of peace across the world. Students also imprinted colored palms onto canvasses in a bid to demonstrate that the future of a healthy community is founded on youth sharing the same space in peace and harmony.
The day concluded with students organizing a ‘human formation’ of the peace symbol, reiterating their collective call for a prosperous world thriving on diversity and a willingness to live together.
Engaging students in celebration of the International Day of Peace is part of Al Mawakeb’s continued efforts to instill values crucial for the youth to learn and live in a diverse society. The school is committed to transforming students into well-rounded individuals who are an asset for the closely connected world.
