“Creativity and Innovation in Education” Forum

College of Education and Basic Science in collaboration with Student Recruitment Unit at Ajman University of Science and Technology organized the third Educational Forum “Creativity and Innovation in Education”. It was held at Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibition wherein 19 schools from the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman participated.
Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Community Services officiated the opening of the forum by reiterating the directives of the wise leadership of the country to encourage youth through different initiatives like the Year of Innovation and the Year of Reading. He stressed the importance of educational forum such as this one which facilities the exchange of knowledge and idea. He stated that these bring all the different stakeholders of the education system together to achieve a common goal.
The representation of private and public schools at the event is an ideal response to integration of educational institutions at all levels. College of Education and Basic Science, has over the course of time kept up with the dynamics of the labour market for the graduates of the college always meet the need of the market.
Professor Shiekh Wald Hammoud, Dean, College of Education and Basic Science pointed out that innovation and creativity have become essential to enable students to face the challenges of the future and the magnitude of the new scientific disciplines. To keep up with the global changes and technological development the students have to evolve and so do the education providers. The need to adapt the curriculum to suit the digital age is the requirement of the renewal of education.
Experts in the field of education hailing from various different backgrounds converged to present their ideal reform in education based on innovation and creativity an audience that included faculty members, practitioners and students.
