According to tourist numbers from Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the country’s allure as a destination to celebrate the festive season continues to surge, with a nearly 10% surge in arrivals to the country in December of 2014 when compared to 2013 – the second highest for the year after July.

Istanbul takes the lion’s share of arrivals to the country, with to-date figures showing a 32% of total tourists to Turkey.
