Dubai-based programme harnesses latest technology to help clients achieve their dreams

21st September 2014 (Dubai): Dubai-based coaching consultancy, Chikara Consulting, has launched a new method of coaching to help clients achieve their goals with the aid of their trusty smartphone.

The system aims to improve life, both professional and/or personal, by combining coaching, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), the law of attraction, personal development, Olympic mental training and positive psychology, with the latest developments in technology.

Smartphones have been completely integrated into our normal lives and routines with the latest studies showing that users check their phones anything from 63-150 times per day in order to get information or maintain relationships. With this in mind, it makes sense that any form of personal or professional development programme nowadays should work with our ever-present devices, programming them into an inescapable accountability partner.

As the UAE continues to lead the world in terms of smartphone ownership (72% penetration) and mobile phone penetration (252%), the opportunity became increasingly apparent to locally established business and executive coach, Oskar Andermo, who accordingly developed this personal style of coaching from Dubai. His aim was to help clients bridge the gap between inspiration and implementation, after recognising that reading inspirational books and visiting a coach may not be enough to change people's lives in the long term.

The accompanying ‘Smartphone Coaching' book is available on Amazon has been very well received since the launch, detailing the array of constantly updatedtools recommended for this programme, including notes, text messages, emails, photos, videos, calendars, reminders, passwords, voice notes, iTunes, timers and other productivity apps.
