Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 13, 2020: At Rado, we are delighted to announce that our groundbreaking True Thinline Les CouleursTM Le Corbusier collection has started the year by winning not one but two prestigious design awards. These latest wins take our total awards tally to well over 40 – an unprecedented feat in the watch industry.
Created using our signature high-tech ceramic, the collection is a set of nine limited edition watches in colours from the Architectural Polychromy colour theory invented by legendary architect and designer Le Corbusier. The collection caught the eye and captured the imagination of the expert panel members of the iF Design Award and the Good Design Award Singapore.
Light, scratch-resistant and hypoallergenic, high-tech ceramic is a material Rado has been using since 1986. As a pioneer and leader of high-tech ceramic in watchmaking, we have developed the technology to create an injected monobloc case – itself a design breakthrough – as well as the perfectly calibrated powders and technique to recreate vivid and vibrant colours consistently.
The award-winning True Thinline was first launched in 2011 and has since become a key family in the Rado collection. The True Thinline Les CouleursTM Le Corbusier collection was launched in May 2019 and has been generating headlines around the world for its unique look and essential properties.
Since day one, Rado has been known for bringing watch wearers a piece of the future now. With this collection and the latest design awards, the legacy of the True Thinline collection - as well as its place in watchmaking history - are assured.
