CV clinic, a respite for unemployed

    BY A STAFF REPORTER

To tackle the unemployment issue and supporting candidates, a free Curriculum Vitae consultation clinic has been unveiled in Dubai for the region's unemployed people.

The initiative has been launched by www.bayt.com in response to the growing unemployment in the region, and following effects of global economic downturn, said a spokesperson of the career web portal.

"Aimed at improving the employment situation in the region and addressing the challenge of growing unemployment, the programme will offer unemployed professionals a free walk-in CV consultation and advice session," said Rabea Ataya, CEO of www.bayt.com

"Between Feb. 15 and Feb. 26, a team of five www.bayt.com professionals, including senior executive managers, will be available. The sessions will be conducted at Dubai Internet City during noon time between 12 to 2pm. Unemployed professionals may bring a copy of their CV for an intensive free 15-minute consultation on its merits and shortcomings," he added.

According to him, the service will be useful for these jobseekers. The initiative is just a way through which we can make our vision of improving the recruitment process across the Middle East an achievable reality.

Ataya said, "Responding to the current global economic crisis and its effects on regional employment, www.bayt.com has reduced the prices for job postings on the site. Our recent CV service for the unemployed platform offers unemployed professionals a detailed CV writing and consultation service."

"The fee for the service has entirely been waived for unemployed professionals selected for it. Unemployed professionals from around the region are eligible to apply," he added.
