Samsung invites Dubai to discover where art meets technology at Sikka Art & Design Festival 2026
Samsung is the official technology partner of the Art & Tech House, a dedicated exhibition space designed to showcase how technology can expand artistic expression and everyday living
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 24 January 2026: Samsung Gulf Electronics is inviting Dubai residents and visitors to experience the intersection of technology, creativity and innovation through its new partnership with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority at the Sikka Art & Design Festival 2026, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture.
Taking place from 23 January to 1 February 2026 at the Al Shindagha Historic Neighborhood, the 14th edition of Sikka Art & Design Festival will transform the area into a vibrant open-air gallery celebrating emerging UAE and regional artists. With free entry, live performances, talks, workshops and more, the festival offers a dynamic cultural experience for all ages.
Samsung will present a dedicated Art & Tech House, offering visitors a hands-on opportunity to explore how technology can expand artistic expression and shape everyday life. This includes an exhibition, titled Encounters, that examines the evolving relationship between art, technology and human perception. Exploring how digital tools are redefining creativity, authorship and participation in contemporary culture through curated installations and immersive works.
Commenting on the partnership, Shafi Alam, Senior Director and Head of the Direct-to-Consumer & Corporate Marketing Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: “We are proud to partner with Dubai Culture at Sikka Art & Design Festival to bring the Art & Tech House to life as a space where creativity and technology meet. At Samsung Gulf, we believe technology should be captivating and engaging. Anchored upon Galaxy AI and Vision AI, Samsung’s advanced AI suites, products like The Frame Pro and Galaxy Tab showcase how everyday technology can become a creative canvas that blends seamlessly within daily life, while empowering artists and engaging audiences in meaningful cultural experiences.”
The Art & Tech House will feature digital artworks by more than 10 UAE and international artists, including Abdul Shakir, Ameera Kawash, Dalia Omran, Diana Dontella, Fatema (Fay) Alkaabi, Firas Safieddine, Ghadir Madani, Ila Colombo, Ilza Eklsa, Lukrecija Paulikaite, Majid Sarnayzadeh, Maliha Abidi, Mbebo Nonna, Mohammed Fouad Abdulmajeed Al Taiel, Mohsen Hazrati, Nourie Flayhan, Peter Chanthanakone, Puja Twari, Sara Alhammadi, Yumi Omori, and Yuqu Chen, curated by Esra Ozkan. Festivalgoers will experience Samsung’s latest display technologies, with a special focus on The Frame Pro, showcased as the hero product of the exhibition. Designed to look like a work of art when switched off, The Frame Pro transforms screens into digital canvases, combining museum-quality picture performance with interior design aesthetics and demonstrating how technology can place art at the center of everyday living.
From digital canvases to interactive installations, the showcase illustrates how screens can become creative mediums in their own right, bringing art closer to people in new and inspiring ways.
In addition to the exhibitions, Samsung will host a curated Photo Walk experience, inviting participants to explore the Al Shindagha Historic Neighborhood through the lens of creativity, guided by professional photographers and artists.
Throughout the festival, visitors can take part in a rich program of exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions and interactive sessions exploring the role of artificial intelligence in creativity, with daily activations and artist spotlights encouraging the public to engage, learn and create.
