Zenofar Fathima, the award-winning filmmaker and CEO of Dubai-based Zen Film Productions, has wrapped shooting for the third season of her acclaimed horror anthology, The Reel Files. Known for blending socially conscious narratives with gripping cinematic flair, Zenofar has steered her production house to international recognition, with over 10 award-winning short films and series since 2018.
Filming for The Reel Files Season 3 concluded in August 2025, marking yet another milestone for the series. Select UAE media outlets were invited for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, offering them a rare glimpse into the creative process that fuses innovative storytelling with the series’ signature edge-of-your-seat suspense.
Season 3 is set to be the most ambitious yet, presenting a fresh lineup of tales inspired by relatable trends and contemporary social experiences. Viewers can expect psychological thrills interlaced with eerie, atmospheric tension - the hallmark of the Reel Files brand.
The series first debuted on Instagram on September 6, 2024, as a short-form horror experiment delivering spine-tingling episodes under a minute long. Its rapid online success caught the attention of horror enthusiasts worldwide, prompting Zen Film Productions to expand it into full-length episodes. Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming exclusively on ZEE5 Global, offering immersive narratives that intertwine psychological tension with moments of pure terror.
“We’ve always believed horror is a universal language,” says Zenofar Fathima. “With Season 3, we wanted to merge that global reach with deeply relatable characters, ensuring the fear feels closer, the tension sharper, and the stories unforgettable.”
Directed by Zenofar Fathima and written by director-screenwriter Afraah Farhana, Season 3 will continue to push the boundaries of horror storytelling, featuring a diverse international cast and narratives that resonate across cultures. Premiering exclusively on ZEE5 Global like its predecessors, it promises unpredictable twists, chilling atmospheres, and a haunting exploration of the darker sides of human nature.
