BYREDO Bal d'Afrique: Ben Gorham's ‘Love Letter' to Africa
Last Update: Friday, June 2, 2023 : 10:32 (+4GMT)
Since its inception, BYREDO has brought to life a series of memories through its niche fragrance collections. Building on these memories, BYREDO introduces a retrospective of their most beloved scents from its olfactive collection. Each year the Founder and Creative Director of BYREDO, Ben Gorham, will curate a multipart series centered on the celebration of one of the Maison’s scents. Through collaborations with creatives from different disciplines, the annual series will facilitate a dialogue, bringing new perspectives to these iconic scents.
The series will consist of a constellation of creators, each invited to share their own memories of the fragrance through their preferred medium. Through these memories, the emotional essence of each featured scent will be recontextualized. Investigating BYREDO’s past, present, and future, ultimately giving new life and perspective to that of the familiar. Unveiled throughout the year, BYREDO Bal d’Afrique 2023 is an ongoing series of innovative campaigns and projects offering fresh and subjective interpretations of these luxury perfumes.
