Roger Dubuis unveils its unique Astral Skeleton Exhibition at the Dubai Mall

Dubai, UAE, November 13, 2016:  From November 10th to 16th 2016, The Dubai Mall will be providing a suitably stellar backdrop for the Astral Skeleton Exhibition hosted by Geneva-based watchmaker, Roger Dubuis. As the principal hub of one of the Manufacture’s most important markets, Dubai was the obvious choice for Roger Dubuis to host the exhibition. The Dubai Mall, the most popular shopping destination in the world, is also home to one of the three Roger Dubuis boutiques in this region.

Created exclusively for Dubai, the Astral Skeleton Exhibition will invite guests and Fine Watchmaking aficionados alike to embark on a journey through time and space as interpreted by Roger Dubuis. Propelled by a magnetic force, visitors will be drawn into the heart of this exhibition, consisting in five architectural spaces defined by the signature star shape reflecting that of the Manufacture’s iconic skeleton movements.

One highlight of the event that will doubtless prove particularly exciting and memorable is the latest Roger Dubuis “Incredible Calibres” Virtual Reality Experience, providing a remarkable opportunity to enjoy a journey enhancing the architectural and technical mechanics of its pioneering contemporary skeleton movements.
 
This interstellar voyage through time and space will enable an immersive discovery of the precision techniques and skills showing off the Maison’s signature calibres: the Double and Single Flying Tourbillon Skeleton - RD01SQ and RD505SQ - and the Automatic Skeleton - RD820SQ.

Alongside this sensorial 3D virtual reality experience, the Astral Skeleton Exhibition will also offer visitors the first Middle East opportunity to enjoy an up-close and personal look at some of the finest new creations unveiled at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva in January 2016.

These will include the Blossom Velvet Pink and Excalibur Automatic Skeleton Carbon, vividly expressing the distinctive DNA of the Maison and representing outstanding examples of its consistently avant-garde design skills and. Those two timepieces will make their regional debut on the Dubai stage and will be available at the Roger Dubuis Boutique in the Mall.
