Emirates Post Group Collaborates with Egypt Post to Launch New Stamp that Celebrates 50th Anniversary of UAE-Egyptian Relations
On the sidelines of the 42nd meeting of Arab Permanent Postal Commission
19, January 2023: On the sidelines of the 42nd meeting of Arab Permanent Postal Commission, Emirates Post Group, in collaboration with Egypt Post, announced the issuance of a joint commemorative stamp in celebration of 50 years of bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt. The stamp echoes five decades of respect and cooperation between both countries, as well as the depth of relations demonstrating the bonds of brotherhood and comprehensive partnership between the nations.
The stamp launch is consistent with Emirates Post Group’s commitment to advancing the UAE's objectives of enhancing partnerships and strategic alliances with Arab and foreign nations, particularly Egypt. The UAE aims to explore more potential prospects to encompass all fields, in order to promote the development and prosperity of both nations. The stamp further demonstrates Group's commitment to marking several significant accomplishments and occasions of the UAE.
Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of Emirates Post Group, said: “We are extremely delighted to launch the new stamp that marks the 50-year long robust ties and friendly relations between the UAE and Egypt. Dr Sherif Farouk, Chairperson of Egypt Post said: “The robust bilateral relationship between Egypt and the UAE serves as a paradigm for close ties and mutual trust between the two countries, exhibiting solid and beneficial collaborations in all areas within a cordial and peaceful environment. In order to further solidify the close ties between the two nations, Egypt Post is honoured to work with Emirates Post Group to issue a commemorative stamp in recognition of 50 years of strong bilateral relations between the two nations.”
Under the theme ‘Egypt and UAE...One Heart’ the stamp issuance alludes to the recent celebrations that took place between the two countries commemorating the 50th anniversary of the UAE-Egyptian relations. The event was attended by several government officials from both sides, as well as notable figures from various sectors, and featured a variety of events and activities, including several economic and cultural forums.
