    Turkish Airlines reached the highest monthly Load Factor in August with 85.6% LF.

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 20 September 2018:  Turkish Airlines, who has recently announced the results of passenger and cargo traffic in August, achieved the highest monthly load factor (LF) in its history with 85.6%. On top of the strong base effect of August 2017, growth in the number of passengers, revenue per kilometer and load factor, is an important indicator of the continued growing interest in Turkey and Turkish Airlines.  According to August 2018 Traffic Results;      The passenger growth trend continued in August, thus total number of passengers carried went up by 2.4% reaching 7.6 million passengers, and Load Factor went up to %86.      In August 2018, Total Load Factor improved by 1.3 points, with a minimal increase of 0.5% in capacity (Available Seat Kilometer), while ......read more

    20th September 2018, Abu Dhabi, UAE:   The Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS) has hosted 25 students for two sessions titled ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens’, as part of Abu Dhabi Airports’ commitment to social responsibility, employee engagement and the development of the next generation of Emirati leaders. Consisting of 12 boys and 13 girls, all students attending were sons and daughters of Abu Dhabi Airports’ staff.     Etihad airways operates iconic a380 to maldives to celebrate new male runway opening

    19 September 2018 Abu Dhabi, UAE – Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has marked the opening of the new runway at Velana International Airport in the Maldives by operating one of its Airbus A380 aircraft to the island nation. The new 3,400 metre-long and 60-metre-wide runway is the first in the Maldives capable of supporting an A380. The special Etihad operation was piloted by First Officer, Ali Ahuson, who is from The Maldives.     Solid Traffic Growth, Record Load Factor in July

    Dubai, UAE, September 03, 2018:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced healthy global passenger demand for July with all regions reporting growth. Total revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) rose 6.2%, compared to the same month last year. While this was down from 8.1% year-over-year growth in June, it nevertheless marked a solid start to the peak passenger demand season. Monthly capacity (available seat kilometers or ASKs) increased by 5.5% and load factor rose 0.6 percentage point to a record high for July of 85.2%. “The industry posted another month of solid traffic growth.     Moderate Freight Growth Continues in July, Up 2.1%

    Dubai, UAE, August 29, 2018:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), rose 2.1% in July 2018, compared to the same period the year before. This was the slowest pace of growth seen since May 2016 and well below the five-year average growth rate of 5.1%.    Freight capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometers (AFTKs), grew by 3.8% year-on-year in July 2018.     Gulf Air becomes the first national carrier to fly the A320neo in the region

    Dubai, UAE, August 19, 2018:  Gulf Air, the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, took delivery of its first A320neo today.
