    Emirates to operate scheduled A380 service to Amman

    Airline to operate largest commercial aircraft in the world for four month period during summer peak Dubai, UAE, 17 January 2019:   Emirates will operate its A380 aircraft to and from Amman between 01 June and 26 October 2019, in response to increased demand for travel during the summer period. This adjustment will see the airline operate one of its three daily flights on the route (EK 903/904) with its flagship A380. This will be the first time that Emirates will operate a scheduled A380 service to Amman, following the historic one-off A380 flight operated in September 2016.     Turkish Airlines reached the 80.2% Load Factor in December 2018.

    January 14, 2019:  Turkish Airlines, who has recently announced its passenger and cargo traffic results for December 2018, reached 80.2% load factor in that month. Growth in the number of passengers, revenue per kilometer and load factor, is an important indicator of the continued growing interest in Turkey and Turkish Airlines at the end of the year as well.    According to the December 2018 Traffic Results;  Total number of passengers carried went up by 1% reaching 5.5 million passengers, and the load factor went up to 80.2%.  In December 2018, total load factor improved by 0,5 points, while international load factor increased by 0,5 points to 80%, domestic load factor reached to 84%.     Airbus achieves new commercial aircraft delivery record in 2018

    Solid but Moderating Passenger Demand in November

    Dubai, UAE, January 09, 2019:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced healthy but moderating global passenger traffic results for November 2018. Total revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) rose 6.2% compared to November 2017, a slight deceleration from 6.3% growth in October. Capacity (available seat kilometers or ASKs) increased by 6.8% over the year-ago period, and load factor dipped 0.4 percentage point to 80.0%. It was only the third time in two years that load factor fell on a year-to-year basis.    “Traffic is solid.     Air Freight Demand Flat in November

    Dubai, UAE, January 09, 2019:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), was flat (0%) in November 2018, compared to the same period the year before. This was the slowest rate of growth recorded since March 2016, following 31 consecutive months of year-on-year increases.    Freight capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometers (AFTKs), rose by 4.3% year-on-year in November 2018.
