    Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - August 22, 2019:  Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its operations between the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, and Manama, capital of Bahrain.    Since launching services to Bahrain on 22 August 2004, Etihad has carried more than 2.5 million guests between the two capitals.     Etihad Airways the Most Punctual Airline in the Middle East for Firt Half of 2019

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  19, August 2019:   Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, was the most punctual Middle Eastern carrier in the first seven months of 2019. New figures produced by the aviation data company OAG show that Etihad was the only Middle Eastern carrier whose punctuality averaged more than 80 per cent for flights across this period. The data also showed that of the airlines monitored by OAG, Etihad was ranked 24th globally for on-time performance in July, the peak summer month for air travel in the Middle East.     Abu Dhabi Airports completes preparations for the return of Hajj pilgrims

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  14, August 2019:  Abu Dhabi International Airport has completed preparations for the return of the Hajj pilgrims from Mecca and Medina over the upcoming weekend. Pilgrims returning to Abu Dhabi will be welcomed with dates, Arabic coffee and chocolates distributed by Abu Dhabi Airports’ employees. Pilgrims are scheduled to begin returning on 15th August from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with flights lasting through to 17th August.     Air Freight in Decline for Eighth Consecutive Month

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  08, August 2019:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), decreased by 4.8% in June 2019, compared to the same period in 2018. This marks the eighth consecutive month of year-on-year decline in freight volumes. Signs of a modest recovery in recent months appear to have been premature, with the June contraction broad-based across all regions with the exception of Africa.     Passenger Demand Stays Solid but the Trend has Slowed

    Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  04 July  2019:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced global passenger traffic results for May showing that demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometers, or RPKs) rose 4.5% compared to the same month in 2018.
