Abu Dhabi-UAE: 27 November, 2013 - Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is marking the 42nd National Day with 14 days of continued celebration featuring company-wide activities for employees and families, as well as stakeholders from the public and private sectors. The venue itself has been decorated with the national flag in a way that encompasses the entire façade of the ADNEC headquarters.
The festivities include cultural competitions and poetry reading sessions that unanimously reflect the spirit of patriotism. Throughout the 14-day duration that concludes tomorrow (28 November), a heritage tent has been attracting huge crowds at the venue. The celebration is also drawing visitors to the centre and various exhibitions to watch and learn about the efforts of the founding fathers of this nation, which within a short period has emerged as a role model for sustainable development and innovation.
His Excellency Ali Saeed Bin Harmal, Managing Director of ADNEC, said: 'We are very proud to belong to this great nation, which embraces us all and provides us with a decent livelihood, as well as a secure and harmonious environment. The proactive vision and efforts of our national leadership that place the interest of the country at its core is responsible for shaping the country into what it is today – as a benchmark for the rest of the world. We at ADNEC are proud to lead the way as a key contributor to the UAE's success in the events landscape.”
Bin Harmal added: 'I would like to particularly applaud the participation of all our employees in this company-wide celebration to mark the 42nd UAE National Day. The spirit of patriotism that dominates the activities pays rightful tribute to the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan who placed the first brick in building the country into a modern and progressive global destination.'
The celebration has also inspired employees of ADNOC Distribution to articulate their pledge in support of the UAE leadership's vision and the country's success story.
