The UAE-based business conglomerate will soon unveil more hypermarkets, further consolidating its retail presence in the GCC and India. 

DUBAI – November 28, 2017:  The UAE-based retail major Fathima Group opened its second hypermarket in Ras Al Khaimah as part of its wider growth plans in the GCC. HE Eng. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, and HE Sheikh Majid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi inaugurated the outlet in the presence of Fathima Group Chairman Mr. E.P. Moosa Haji, Managing Director Mr. E.P. Sulaiman Haji, CEO Mr. Sameer Sulaiman and other senior dignitaries. 

The inauguration event was also attended by Sheikh Muftah Bin Ali Al Khatri and Mr. Munther Mohamed Bin Shaker, Chairman of RAK Municipality; Mr. Ahammad Bin Mubarak Al Sahmsi, CID General of RAK Police Department; and Sheikh Mohamed Muftah Ali Al Khatri, Judge at RAK Court. 

The Hypermarket is located on Al Muntasir Road in Mamourah, proximate to Indian Association in Ras Al Khaimah, and will serve residents in the vicinity and the surrounding areas as a one-stop destination for all shopping needs. The Group, with diversified businesses predominantly a chain of hypermarkets, supermarkets and department stores, is currently on a vast expansion mode. With the opening of the newest outlet, the Group reinforces itself firmly to the modern, customer-centric retail landscape of the region. 

Commenting on the latest venture, Mr. E.P. Moosa Haji, Chairman of Fathima Group, said, “It is always a sense of pride for a business to grow; we are very pleased to open our second hypermarket here in Ras Al Khaimah. We are extremely grateful to the visionary Rulers and people of this country, the foundation of our business that started out in 1968 in Abu Dhabi and grew together being encouraged in all our expansion strategies and efforts. With the aim to increase our presence, we have ventured into Ras Al Khaimah a second time. We have seen a steady growth in our retail business and hope to keep the momentum. Over the years, we have achieved great success with over 4,000 employees and loyal customers.”

We source products from suppliers around the world and have a strong logistical structure in place. Our dedicated service ensures customers a comfortable and wholesome shopping experience. And we hope this is the right time for us to open more hypermarkets to provide value to the customers,” he added. 

Mr. E.P. Sulaiman Haji, Managing Director of the Group, said, “Our outlets always provide the widest range of quality and value-for-money products all under one roof. The new hypermarket is laid out on two floors with the best facilities for the convenience of customers and offers a wide range of world-class products and brands at the fairest price. 

The hypermarket showcases household items, home appliances, electronics, gadgets, mobile phones, IT products, foodstuff with separate sections for fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and poultry, fish, dairy products, spices, ready-to-eat products, bakery and roastery; in addition to health and beauty products, fashion garments, footwear and accessories, ladies' accessories, kids' items, toys, stationery, watches, jewellery, and so on. The ground floor also features Al Ansar Money Exchange, Smart Travels, Al Neem Pharmacy, Pizza Hut and KFC.
