UAE, November 16, 2017- His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary for the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) recently met with H.E. Dr. Fernando De Martini, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the UAE, to discuss potential opportunities in the development of bilateral relations in the health sector. The meeting, which was held at the Ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, was also attended by H.E. Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary, MOHAP.

The meeting covered discussions on how to further improve and enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly throwing focus on health care; and discussed the most important research conducted by the Ministry of Health and Prevention in genetic diseases, the exchange of medical expertise; the recruitment of doctors, technicians and nurses; sending patients for treatments; attracting visiting doctors and enhancing cooperation in the acquisition of medical equipment and hospital management.

H.E. also welcomed the opening of prospects for fruitful cooperation, the development of health relations between the two countries and the exploration of future opportunities. He expressed the UAE's keenness towards further consolidating its ties with the Argentine Republic, especially in the move to further enhance their respective health segments. He also acknowledged the key guidance and support given by the country's wise leadership in the efforts to promote best health practices and improve its health services--which has also resulted in the development of a comprehensive health care system and the provision of world class health services to the people.

In response, the Argentine Ambassador lauded the high level of health services being made available in the UAE, further citing its essential components, including infrastructure, use of sophisticated and advanced medical equipment. Ambassador De Martini emphasized that the meeting served as a valuable opportunity for both countries to develop and enhance ties for the development of better health systems, including the exchange of experiences and health experts between the UAE and the Argentine Republic.
