Abdullah Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah , Chairman for Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Holding pledges his commitment to sustainable practices
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 06 November 2017: Al Naboodah Group Enterprises (ANGE), one of UAE's oldest and most respected family conglomerates with a diverse portfolio of businesses, kickstarted Sustainability Week, a week-long employee engagement initiative aimed at creating awareness on the company's most important sustainability topics.
The event was formally inaugurated by Abdullah Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Chairman of Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Holding who was the first to sign a Group-wide pledge, asserting his commitment to sustainability before inviting employees to participate.
In its second year, ANGE's Sustainability Week is a major fixture in the Group's annual sustainability roadmap. This year's activities are themed around five key topics identified as most important for the company: employee health and safety, learning and development, supply chain, customer satisfaction, and employee welfare. Every day, ANGE employees will have the opportunity to participate in a choice of sustainability-led activities, ranging from workshops, health checks, job-swaps, awareness sessions by external partners such as the EWS-WWF and a visit to the Al Ain Oases date plantations, a UNECSO World Heritage Site.
A collaborative effort driven by Human Resources and Sustainability, ANGE's Sustainability Week seeks to engage employees across the entire Group, from headquarters to showrooms, onsite project teams and the labour workforce.
