Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, successfully concluded its participation at this year's editions of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and the World Green Economy Summit (WGES), which ran from 23 to 25 October 2017 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). The company ended its participation on a high note—receiving overwhelming response and praises from visitors and participants at the event for its efforts to increase awareness on the need to utilize energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly cooling products and services. The two simultaneous events also served as a strategic platform for Empower to showcase its latest range of district cooling solutions while also sharing details on their newest projects and recent achievements.

Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO, Empower, said “Being the world's largest district cooling services provider, we promise to stay the number one company in the industry and will always maintain our position. Empower places key importance in participating at international events like WETEX and WGES as it not only gives us the opportunity to consolidate our regional presence but also allows us to share our industry insights and interact with local and international companies--giving way to potential opportunities and the development of new solutions in energy efficiency and water conservation,” concluded Bin Shafar.

During the show, the company demonstrated the efficiency of Empower's district cooling facilities, particularly its Business Bay area plants-highlighting the plant's role in conserving energy and saving the environment. Empower was able to present the company's latest range of district cooling solutions and its commitment towards increasing awareness on the importance of utilizing energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly cooling products and services. Visitors lauded Empower's success and achievements, particularly citing the company's support for the UAE's continuing efforts towards sustainability and protecting the environment.

Bin Shafar, added, “We are very pleased with the strong response that we received at WETEX 2017 and WGES, which served as key platforms for us to showcase district cooling as a green and energy efficient technology and the advantages to be gained from using it. We are also very thankful for those who visited our stand and gained a better understanding of what we do. The inspiring and encouraging words that we received from them will inspire us to increase our efforts in achieving sustainability, protecting the environment and its resources and to become a model for other companies and organizations to follow.”

“The success and overwhelming response of our participation at these events has prompted us to look forward to next year's WETEX and WGES. In fact, we are already drawing up plans to help us prepare for the events. Rest assured that Empower will continue to remain steadfast in its efforts to promote energy efficiency and be a significant part of the unified campaign to protect and preserve the environment,” concluded Bin Shafar.

Empower provides environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall,

Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences, Dubai Design District, among others.
