90% of children exceed international standards in Science

Dubai, UAE: (September 27, 2017):  Foremarke School Dubai, part of Evolvence Knowledge Investments (EKI) and partner school of Foremarke Hall, Repton's Preparatory School in the United Kingdom, announced excellent results in the 2017 National Agenda Progress Tests making progress from the tests in 2016.

As per the latest test results, 86% of children in Foremarke School are above international standards in English with 89% of children above international standards in Maths. In the case of Science, 90% of children are above international standards. In 2016, 83% of children in Foremarke School were above international standards in English, 82% of children above international standards in Maths while 80% of children were above international standards in Science.

KHDA introduced the UAE National Agenda Parameter in the academic year 2015-2016 as a method for measuring and monitoring schools' progress towards achieving their individual National Agenda targets. This parameter requires all schools to participate in international and external benchmarking assessments on an annual basis.

According to Naomi Williams, Headmistress at Foremarke School, “We are very pleased to see the excellent results in the latest National Agenda Progress Tests. This is a strong reflection of our focus on academic excellence and helping our pupils to aim high in order to make accelerated progress. Our teaching staff also deserve great credit for working closely with our pupils to help them think critically and become successful learners.”

Foremarke School put several measures in place over a 1 year time period to achieve these impressive results. The school appointed new Heads of department for core subjects and analysed previous tests results in detail to narrow any gaps in knowledge and skills. The progress of the pupils was continually tracked to ensure any pockets of underachievement were immediately addressed.
