Ajman, UAE, July 25, 2017:  Ajman University has announced a thirty percent discount for new students enrolling in the Professional Diploma in Teaching offered by the College of Education and Basic Science. The program begins with the new academic year 2017-2018.

Teaching is an art and a skill that the UAE government encourages on a professional level. This program aims to equip undergraduates with a diploma that qualifies them to pursue a career in teaching, regardless of their earlier qualification. To be a teacher is a prestigious job but it brings with it the responsibility to be able to impart knowledge in a professional manner, therefore with its 30 years of experience and expertise, AU is offering this diploma to all who seek an additional qualification. It will provide the learner with educational skills, curriculum and teaching methods, evaluation and techniques of testing along with a comprehensive understanding of the student psychology.

The 30 percent fee waiver will be an added bonus for teachers or candidates wishing to enroll in this program, it is worthy to note that an additional 5% discount will be offered to group enrollment of teachers from same school, provided the number of teachers is 25 or above.

Dr. Sami Al Qatawneh, Head of the Department of Educational Sciences at the College of Education and Basic Sciences, elucidated that AU has been running this program since 2010 and it was one of the first Universities to offer this, supported and accredited by the Ministry of Education. Since date, the program has witnessed the graduation of 1252 teachers from this program.

He further stated that this program is being offered at the most competitive price with an exceptional excellence in output offered by seasoned faculty on a fully equipped campus. The program is spread across 24 credit hours and the medium of instruction is Arabic, with exception in teaching English, Mathematics, Information Technology and Science.

The lectures will be conducted utilizing the contemporary methods of teaching; teachers and interested candidates can contact the University to enroll. AU also provides transport to other emirates; facilities like, housing, food court, gymnasium, library amongst others are also available on campus.
