The two day summit will provide unrivalled practical knowledge, designed to add real value to hospitality professionals

Dubai - UAE, 16 May 2017: ‘Global Megatrends and their Effect on Middle East Hospitality' and ‘Affordable Luxury' will be the key topics of discussion at the Hotelier Summit Middle East on May 17th and 18th in Doha, Qatar. The two-day summit will provide unrivalled practical knowledge designed to add real value to hotel's business operations.

The summit is organised by IDE Consulting Services, a global real estate solutions provider. IDE has gone to great lengths to make the summit not only a spectacular show, but also provide real value and insights to the top delegates attending the initiative. PwC Middle East is, alongside IDE, is the ‘Official Knowledge Partner' of the Summit.

“Factors such as rapid urbanization, demographic and social changes, shift in global economic power, resource scarcity and climate change, and technological breakthroughs are rapidly changing the dynamics of the global and regional hospitality industry. Moreover, Doha is an important market for the hospitality sector in the Middle East due to the strides it is taking to establish itself as a leisure tourism destination. During the Hotelier Summit, we would explore the tourism strategy being adopted the Government of Qatar, and the differentiating factors that would ensure long term sustainability of the hospitality and tourism industries.” Said Mr. Vikram Loomba, Director - Real Estate, Hospitality & Leisure Advisory Services at PwC Middle East.

As a one-stop shop for a variety of financial services offerings to the hospitality sector, PwC Middle East will be a significant value to the attending delegates, many of whom are travelling from different countries of the world. For instance, ‘KE', the Platinum Partner of the summit, will be coming in from Suzhou, China to showcase their premium collection of Chinese silk tapestries.

“Our company focuses on Chinese silk tapestry skills and combines it with world famous Suzhou handicrafts. We are participating in the Hotelier Summit Middle East because we want to revive the traditional heritage of weaving woollen tapestry, which represents the highest level of weaving skills in China. The products we will display at the event are designed to respond to the needs of contemporary feelings and aesthetics with a touch of traditional Chinese craftsmanship.” Said Fan Weiyan, Art Director, Yanding Creative Culture Design

From the other end of the world, Muraspec, a British company that prides itself on being a leader in producing the highest quality commercial wall-coverings, will also be at the Hotelier Summit Middle East. “We have chosen Hotelier Summit this time and are hoping to meet Hotel Owners, Developers, Architects, Interior Designers and Contractors who will be looking for quality products. We specialize in manufacturing a wide range of inspiring designs using diversified equipment, including an impressive digital production department.” Said Tariq Rashid, Managing Director, Muraspec

Companies like KE and Muraspec will benefit immensely by participating in the summit because hotel owners and operators around the world are now focussing on both aesthetics and energy efficiency as two sides of the same coin.

To address this pressing need, Martin Baeuerle, Head of Communications and the Chair of the Green Hotels interest group, Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) and Architect Hamoda Youssef, LEED Faculty, AP BD+C, GSAS¬CGP, Assoc. AIA, will be speaking during the conference agenda.

The prime topic of discussion will be Green Key Certification and how this has become the leading standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility within the tourism industry.

With delegates of this calibre attending the initiative, the Hotelier Summit Middle East in on course to be the landmark summit for the hospitality fraternity in the Region. It is shaping up to be an event that you simply cannot afford to miss.
