As the Dubai Shopping Festival twin mega promotions drew to a close, thousands of raffle enthusiasts and shoppers waited anxiously for the results of the grand finale organized by the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG). The final draw which was held at Global Village, Dubai's leading family entertainment and cultural attraction, saw a lively atmosphere as winners' received prizes and goodies aside from witnessing the thrilling draw itself.
This year, DSMG brought the city not one but two mega raffle promotions to have a more widespread reach and offer unique shopping experiences to the consumers in Dubai. The month-long promotions, offered raffle winnings worth a total of Three Million Dirhams in the form of family cars, gold and vouchers along with additional chances of winning instant prizes with their purchases.
The winners of the weekly raffle draws have been a mélange of nationalities including Europeans, Emiratis and Indians with the campaign witnessing people winning prizes worth thousands. The mix of winners is a clear reflection of the international audience that the malls in Dubai cater to.
The ‘Shop & Win. Play & Win' promotion saw consumers who made purchases of AED 200 and above, receive a raffle coupon for a chance to win a family car every week! On top of this fantastic offer, shoppers could double their chances of winning, with on the spot instant prizes including luxury sunglasses, perfume sets, watches and gift vouchers that were given away. Digital games were also set up at kiosks in the mall to win instant prizes.
The ‘Shop & Win Gold' promotion awarded winners a total of 5 kg gold for those eligible shoppers who made purchases of AED 100 and above at select participating malls. Each week 5 lucky consumers received 200 grams of gold while 1 lucky consumer won a mega grand prize of 1kg gold at the end of the promotion.
The entire campaign also saw a double digit increase in footfalls across all member malls with the increased participation from community and neighborhood malls across the emirate.
