Friends of Cancer Patient's annual pan-UAE ride recognises the efforts made by all who attend in aid of breast cancer awareness and the drive towards defeating the disease through early detection

Sharjah, February 1, 2023:  The Pink Caravan Ride (PCR), UAE's annual breast cancer awareness campaign, has announced its theme for 2023's ride: 'Powered by You.' This theme is a reflection of the power and energy that the Pink Caravan Ride derives from each and every person in the UAE community as it makes strides towards mass awareness while offering free breast cancer screenings in efforts to defeat the disease through early detection.

This year's theme “Powered by You” highlights the crucial role of community support in the campaign's yearly success and emphasises that without the energy and participation from the public, the message and cause would not be as impactful.

PCR is powered by the brave patients who are pylons of the community and stand strong in the light of their adversity, while valiantly committing themselves to their treatment plans. The organisations and partners that support the Pink Caravan Ride, like power stations giving energy to the cause, making it possible for the campaign to offer free screenings to the community.

The Pink Caravan Ride is also powered by its riders, volunteers and medical teams, who work tirelessly to make the campaign a success, charging forward to conquer cancer.

The Pink Caravan Ride (PCR) calls for the support and participation of the United Arab Emirates community in their annual breast cancer awareness campaign. Whether one chooses to participate as a rider, volunteer, or simply attend the event in support of the cause, PCR is urging all members of the UAE to make a concerted effort to raise awareness and aid in the fight against breast cancer.

Through collective efforts and support, PCR aims to continue promoting the significance of early detection and provide access to free screenings for individuals in need ensuring prompt treatment and a speedy recovery for both women and men at their fixed clinics at the following locations:

Sharjah will be home to four clinics located at Al Majaz Waterfront, Mega Mall, and Lulu hypermarket in Al Butina, and Lulu Central Sharjah.
In Dubai, citizens and residents can head to Lulu Hypermarket in Al Barsha, and Mirdif City Centre to take advantage of the free medical screening, while in Ajman, the fixed clinic will be providing early detection for both men and women in China Mall.
Free screenings will also be available at Lulu Hypermarket for Umm Al Quwain in Mall of UAQ, Fujairah in Lulu Mall and Ras Al Khaimah in Mall of RAK.
The seven day ride that travels through all emirates in the UAE from 4-10 February is organised by Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), who have sparked this initiative and provide an endless amount of energy in conquering breast cancer. Join the ride and procession across the emirates and let's make the Pink Caravan Ride another successful event 'Powered by You'.
