- LEGOLAND® Dubai shares light and joy for families this Ramadan in partnership with the Beacon of Hope initiative
- The theme park is set to welcome guests with new opening hours, activities and Ramadan Nights Iftar ticket
Dubai, 2 May 2018 – Ramadan is set to bring joy and rewards in equal measure to LEGOLAND® Dubai. The theme park welcomes families to celebrate with special offers, new opening hours, activities, as well as a newly announced partnership with Beacon of Hope, a non-profit initiative founded by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.
Back by popular demand is the awesome building experience at MINILAND, which invites guests to build traditional Ramadan lanterns out of LEGO bricks. This year however, LEGOLAND Dubai is set to partner with Beacon of Hope to bring joy and educational resources to young children in impoverished areas of the world, teaching them to assemble their own light. For every LEGO lantern built at LEGOLAND Dubai (up to 1,000 lanterns), the park will donate a ‘Beacon In A Box’ light kit to the organization.
Beacon of Hope, a non-profit initiative founded by Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, aims to make a positive impact on impoverished children globally through light and literacy. The joint initiative also celebrates the legacy of the Year of Zayed, sharing the core values of wisdom and human development by assisting and imparting knowledge to those in need to help build a brighter future.
Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, said: 'We are delighted that LEGOLAND Dubai has chosen to partner with Beacon of Hope, during the auspicious month of Ramadan, to bring light and literacy to children in need. Our collaboration will offer families who are experiencing happy occasions in the Park the opportunity to further enrich the lives of those in less fortunate areas of the world.'
From the first day of Ramadan, LEGOLAND Dubai is set to have extended hours, opening from 1pm- 9 pm daily, with LEGOLAND® Water Park operating from 10am to 6pm. In addition, the theme park has introduced a new, 135 AED “Ramadan Nights Iftar Ticket,” which offers access to the Park from 6:00 pm and includes the all new Iftar Buffet in The Market Restaurant, which will be transformed during Ramadan, with new décor and ambiance for the special occasion.
The Iftar will serve up fresh welcome juices and traditional Jallab with dates to break the fast, followed by an awesome buffet that includes an assortment of Mezzeh, soups and a salad bar, as well as an array of delicious Arabic and continental cuisines such as Lamb Ouzi, Chicken Kabsa, Mixed Grills and Roasted Salmon. Little ones can enjoy a selection of tasty treats such as Spaghetti and Sausage Rolls at a special kid’s counter, while those with a sweet tooth can try out Mohalabia, Umali and an assortment of Arabic sweets, along with seasonal fruits and Jell-O.
Those with full-day tickets can enjoy the daily Iftar at LEGOLAND Dubai for only 85 AED, and Annual Pass holders can enjoy a 20% discount.
