EXPERIENCE |
Iyad has studied both art history and art criticism as an independent scholar for over twenty years.
He has worked as an art critic for two of Kuwait's main newspapers: from 1973-1976 for Al Siyasa and from 1976-1982 for Al Watan.
He has contributed numerous articles on contemporary Arab artists and culture, to leading Arab magazines such as Al Arabi (Kuwait), Funoon Arabia (London) and Fan Al Arabi.
In 1982 he edited and contributed an introductory text to the book by Ahmed Zakaria Al Ansari, Afkar Wa Tasawrat Nahwa Moustakbal Afdhal (Ideas and Views for a Better Future in Art and Architecture). Published privately by Al Ansari in Kuwait.
