    10, January 2023:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the air travel recovery continued through November 2022.    • Total traffic in November 2022 (measured in revenue passenger kilometers or RPKs) rose 41.3% compared to November 2021. Globally, traffic is now at 75.3% of November 2019 levels.  • International traffic rose 85.2% versus November 2021. The Asia-Pacific continued to report the strongest year-over-year results with all regions showing improvement compared to the prior year.     Air Cargo Demand Softens in November

    09, January 2023:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for November 2022 global air cargo markets showing that demand softened as economic headwinds persist.    • Global demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTKs*), fell 13.7% compared to November 2021 (-14.2% for international operations).  • Capacity (measured in available cargo tonne-kilometers, ACTK) was 1.9% below November 2021.     DAE Increases Bond Repurchase Program by US$300 Million

    Dubai, U.A.E. - 13 December 2022 – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd announced today that its Board of Directors and Shareholders had authorized an additional US$300 million for bond repurchases to be conducted through open market transactions. To date, DAE has repurchased approximately US$815 million of principal amount of its publicly traded bonds under the previous authorizations of US$900 million.     7 December 2022: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimates that Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production will reach at least 300 million liters in 2022—a 200% increase on 2021 production of 100 million liters. More optimistic calculations estimate total production in 2022 could reach 450 million liters. Both scenarios position the SAF industry on the verge of an exponential capacity and production ramp-up toward an identified tipping point of 30 billion liters by 2030, with the right supporting policies.
