    Emirates service to Tunis becomes daily

    DUBAI, U.A.E., 25 September 2017:  Emirates has reaffirmed its commitment to Tunis by increasing the frequency of flights between Dubai and Tunis from six to seven a week starting 30th October 2017. The additional Dubai – Tunis flight will be operated every Monday with an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER aircraft offering eight luxurious private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and plenty of room to relax in Economy Class with 310 seats. The added flight will give passengers in Tunis greater access to Emirates’ global route network, particularly destinations in the Middle East, GCC, West Asia, Asia Pacific region and the US, with just one stop in Dubai.  The added frequency will also offer importers and exporters an additional 23 tonnes of cargo capacity in each direction.     Abu Dhabi Airports achieves 65% increase in operating profit (EBIDA) so far this year with an 88% UAE national leadership team

    19th September, 2017, Abu Dhabi, UAE:  Abu Dhabi Airports announced today that it has achieved 65% increase in earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization (EBIDA)/ operating profit during the January-August period this year compared to the same period in 2016. This announcement comes after the company’s executive team weekly meeting that took place at Al Ain International Airport last week, led by Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, Acting CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports. The company grew its operating revenue by 26%, which impacted the 65% EBIDA increase for 2017. One of the key contributors to this increase is the passenger facilitation charge introduced in July 2016.     Dubai, UAE, September 16, 2017:  As part of its growth strategy, Finnair has increased its capacity to several existing destinations in Germany. As of March 26, 2018, Finnair is adding a fourth daily frequency between Helsinki and Berlin.     Double Digit Growth for Global Air Freight Demand in July

    Dubai, UAE, September 6, 2017:  The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), increased by 11.4% in July 2017 compared to the same period a year ago. This was the fourth time in five months that double-digit annual growth was recorded. July’s year-on-year increase in demand is nearly four times higher than the ten year average growth rate of 3.1%.  Freight capacity, measured in available freight tonne kilometers (AFTKs), grew by 3.7% year-on-year in July 2017.
