AED 630,000, was allocated for the project.
Biochar is a highly stable form of carbon that does not contribute to the greenhouse effect and that is used worldwide to improve soil properties for plant growth. The move is in pursuant to Cabinet Resolution No. (2) of 2018 issued by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in February.
