I'm considering purchasing an electrolysis kit. I see so many brands and there is such a big price range. Are the more expensive ones any
better? Can you recommend a brand that works?

Hi Cynthia,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding the purchase of an electrolysis
machine. I am not really familiar with the brands available in the
market, and the reason for this is, that I am not convinced, that
electrolysis can be successfully carried out by an untrained operator.
During my training, the basis of successfully treating the hair,
depended entirely upon the correct insertion of the needle into the hair follicle, and intensity of the current; both of these need skill when operating on another person, and I feel an untrained person may
experience difficulties.
May I suggest, that you consult your nearest reputable Beauty Salon, and start having treatment there. Atleast you can be sure of a safe
confidential treatment. More on Electrolysis

Would like to sell American-made products - specially cosmetics and perfume in the U.A.E. Can you help?
|
Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding selling cosmetic & perfume in UAE.
May I suggest that you contact the UAE Embassy/Council in the USA as
they will have a list of suppliers, and will advise you on
certain trade exhibitions in which you could display your product
and investigate the market. For example - Gulf Beauty Exhibition, which
was an enormous success this year
enabled suppliers to source local agents.I hope this has been useful to you, if I can help you further do not
hesitate to write. |

I would love to learn more about Clarins Products. I am a fairly new convert
to Clarins and would love to get to know the line better . |
|
I will give you a bit of background on Clarins although I cant guide you unless you give me more information about your skin condition and your age.
Jacques Courtin Clarins created the three face oils, Lotus, Blue Orchid, Santal which are all plant extracts -
Lotus, Orchid flower and Sandalwood respectively.
The company has now been in operation for 30 years and has a team
of dermatologists and cosmetic chemists, researching and creating
the perfect product for our individual needs. They have
a full range of body, face and bust products.
Each of these products has a consumer card which enables you to
directly contact Paris, with your own individual comments,
results, observations and further requirements.
Clarins also guarantees the quality of all its products, all
being dermatologically tested. No tests are carried out on
animals. These ingredients are highly concentrated to
ensure effective results and are based on plant, marine and
vitamin extracts.

As I studied your information, I realised that I was not
familar with the term threading or a Morrocan Bath. | |
|
Threading is an ancient Indian way of removing unwanted hair
i.e. eyebrows , upper lip, etc., with a cotton thread.
A Moroccan Bath is a specific method of body peeling/scrub,
followed by an oil massage. It makes you feel like a new person
and is ideal after a traumatic move. |

"I have very dry, scaly skin. Is there a lotion you can
recommend, that I can use? Also, I have varying skin tones, and I'm tired of buying different shades
of makeup to match it". | Ask Finola any questions you might have about make-up, skin-care, electrolysis, aromatherapy, facials, and other beauty therapies.

The following skin care program should be of help to you.
Cleansing : 2 times per day; Morning/Evening
- Apply a cleansing milk or cream with your hands, remove with tissue, water can be used.
- Tone, on wet cotton to remove any excess cleanser, tighten and refresh the skin.
- Moisturise your skin with a cream, containing a sun block which should also be applied before make-up.
- Night cream: apply 20 minutes before you sleep, a must for dry skin.
N.B. As your skin is very dry, avoid soap as this will strip the skin of any natural oils.
Any product you purchase should be for very dry skin.
Remember the following ;
- the Cleanser cleans
- the Tonic tightens and refreshes
- the Moisturiser protects
- the Night cream feeds
Most importantly - drink a lot of water; upto 3 litres a day or more.
It is difficult for me to suggest a cream, as it depends on your age and your budget. At the salon, we use Clarins & Decleor. Both ranges are excellent, and have specific ranges for different age groups. This is important as certain creams maybe too rich for you. Once your skin condition improves, so will the colour. You will then not have any problems buying make-up, which should be one shade lighter or one shade darker.
Regards and Good Luck,
Finola
