DUBAI – December 17, 2013: Videocon, India's leading brand in consumer electronics, home appliances, mobiles and tablets, announced its launch in the UAEtoday. The launch was marked by the introduction of a Videocon initiative titled Buy Here Smile There (BHST) aimed at the Indian expatriate community in the UAE. The initiativewould enable themto pay for Videocon products in the UAE, and have them delivered to their homes back in India.

Also, the brand launched its latest range of mobile devices, smart-phones and tablets, in the country. A55 being the pick, both in terms of look and functionality, amongst the devices.

Commenting on the BHST initiative, Mr. Abhishek Malpani, the Global Online Business Head at Videocon, said, “We are pleased to launch thisinitiative for the Indian community in the UAE. This is a unique service which would revolutionize the way the Indians in UAE shop for electron-ics. It would enable them to purchase our finest quality products and have them delivered to their homes in India.”

Using BHST, the customers can get products at prices upto 30% lower than India, and they will be delivered anywhere in India with all taxes included, within 10 days of booking.BHST products are also supported by a two-year international warranty.The BHST offer is available on a dedicated portal www.mybhst.com. UAE launch of the BHST initiative and the smart-phones range are in line with Videocon's plans for expansion into the UAE market with its portfolio of world-class products.

The Videocon smart devices range launched in UAE is flag-shipped by the A55 HD, supported by the A52, both of which are dual SIM, android based touchscreen smart-phones.

“UAE is an important market for us. Our launch here marks a significant milestone as we en-deavor to build on our wealth of over 30 years of rich experience producing electronics and driving forward innovation. Our long term vision is to generate potential business investment opportunities in the UAE, and across the region,” Mr. Malpani said.
