United Arab Emirates, Dubai, May 20, 2019:

The Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department organized more than 50 educational and awareness lectures during the first two weeks of the holy month of Ramadan, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The aim of the seminar was to establish partnership with government departments and to encourage them to organize interactive educational programs for employees and clients during the month of Ramadan. It also aims to spread the values of Islam and the spirit of tolerance between citizens and residents of various Arab and foreign communities.

'The Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department during the holy month will intensify efforts to activate its plan in the field of religious awareness and religious discourse, which is implemented by a high level of methodology and scientific research, and in the belief of its significant role to raise this perception,” said Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Charity Sector, IACAD. “IACAD is carrying out these efforts in order to establish the rules of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all members of society, thus we are working to establish and organize such activities.'

Al-Muhairi further added: 'From the Department's keenness to reach the widest possible number of members of the community, we have organized a wide variety of religious and cultural lectures in multiple locations across the Emirate of Dubai, at different times to suit everyone. More than 20 employees were also assigned to deliver these lectures to the Department's staff, including preachers and imams from different mosques.”

The preachers in the Department of Education and Religious Guidance in IACAD over the past few days, most notably Abdul Rahman Al Mulla, Adel Al Marzouqi, Abdul Mohsen Al-Boarib, Alaa Al-Din Al-Qadi, Adnan Al-Khatib, Nasser Al-Balushi, Fatih Al-Maskin and Ali Al-Suwaidi discussed a variety of topics including a lecture entitled 'Healing' “The Month of the Quran”, “Jurisprudenc of Fasting', “No harm and no harm”, and these lectures attracted a great interaction with and a remarkable response from the audience with the lecturer through discussion.
