Dubai, UAE, March 19, 2018:  As temperatures across the United Arab Emirates begin to rise, the dawn of spring brings new beginnings and opportunities to explore new cultures and destinations at their best.

This spring, Cathay Pacific is providing more reasons to travel by launching special promotional fares to 30 global destinations.

Cathay Pacific Area Manager Middle East Jonathan Ng said: “With moderate temperatures and fewer crowds gathering at popular attractions, spring is the ideal time of year to travel to destinations across Asia and further afield – there are so many fascinating places for visitors to explore.

Our promotional fares are great value and enable people to travel well and experience something new.”

Cathay Pacific customers transferring or staying in Hong Kong will also be able to enrich their journey with the benefit of complimentary tours and special offers provided by the airline and the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

Whether looking to experience the true flavours of the city, its hidden gems, or enjoy an afternoon with Mickey Mouse at Hong Kong Disneyland, there are a number of options available. More details can be found at www.cathaypacific.ae.

Cathay Pacific's special fares are available across all cabins for travel until 30 November 2018, when booked before 31 March 2018.

The Hong Kong-based airline is offering fares from Dubai starting from as little as AED 1,695 in Economy Class and AED 6,335 in Business Class.

From the awe-inspiring cherry blossoms that extend across Japan and Korea, to the underwater wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, stretching along Australia's Northeast coast, here are five favourite springtime destinations to enjoy.

Hong Kong

From shopping to bar-hopping, Hong Kong's urban pleasures are plentiful – not least for the world-famous breadth of cuisine, ranging from dim sum, hotpot, buttery pineapple buns and stinky tofu, to the Michelin-starred offerings of glitzy international restaurants.

Away from the bustle and glamour of the main island, however, Hong Kongers enjoy casual access to the likes of surfing, camping, hiking, cliff jumping and dragon boat racing, all less than an hour from the city centre.

Flights: Return flights in Economy Class start from AED 2,505 and in Business Class from AED 7,985

Jeju, Korea

The largest island off the coast of the Korean Peninsula, Jeju comes alive during the cherry blossom season due to its King Cherry Tree blossoms – the largest and most luxurious of all cherry blossoms.

Travellers can witness the spectacle from the end of March through to mid-April across the volcanic landscape, with activity peaking during the first week of April.

Flights: Return flights in Economy Class start from AED 2,745 and in Business Class from AED 7,675

Osaka, Japan

Japan's third largest city, energetic Osaka is known as ‘the nation's kitchen' for a reason, so arrive hungry and eat your way around its astonishing number of Michelin-starred restaurants, ancient temples and exuberant street food markets.

Those looking to take a last-minute trip this month can enjoy the 5,000 cherry trees across the riverside Kema Sakuranomiya Park as they blossom in all their majestic glory.

Flights: Return flights in Economy Class start from AED 3,765 and in Business Class from AED 10,065

Brisbane, Australia

Down-to-earth Brisbane is filled with iconic Australian delights. Spy koalas at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary or cruise along the Brisbane River in a reproduction steamer.

The more adventurous can leave the city limits and explore the best of what Queensland has to offer, from leisurely sailing through the Whitsundays, diving the Great Barrier Reef to the north, or head south and learn how to surf on the Gold Coast.

Flights: Return flights in Economy Class start from AED 4,455 and in Business Class from AED 11,985

Cebu, Philippines

Home to some of the whitest sands in the world, the beaches of Cebu in the Philippines are famed for their stunning vistas.

Drink in the view before island hopping at the nearby Bantayan and Malapascua islands.

Top it off with a visit to the city centre to try spicy Filipino dishes or Euro-fusion cuisine.
