Dubai, UAE, February 15, 2017: When you reach for that bottle of Omega 3 fish oils or those vitamin C tablets, you might want to ask yourself do you really need them in the first place. Supplements usually come in capsule, pill, powder or liquid form.
You can take these supplements to make sure you get enough essential nutrients and to maintain or improve your health, but it is important to note here that they shouldn't be used to replace a well-balanced diet, but they can be useful for filling in gaps in your diet. So why aren't we getting enough nutrients?

Some stores that have their own label of vitamins and supplements and some private companies use poorer quality and grades of ingredients.
For vitamins and minerals, check the % RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) on the label for each nutrient to make sure you're not getting too much. Too much of certain supplements can be harmful. You can always ask the pharmacist or health store advisor, they can advise you.
