Demanding projects and high social commitment
Its wide product range of comprehensive fixing solutions and its extensive individual customer service has made fischer fixing systems a sought-after partner for national and international clients on the Arabian Peninsula. The United Arab Emirates subsidiary is just as involved with the realisation of large infrastructure measures as with the construction of numerous large-scale projects for industry and trade as well as sport and culture. Its innovative products and solutions mean the company is well-positioned for the Arabic market. An increase in turnover is also expected for the upcoming years.
Despite the current low oil prices, the Arabian Peninsula remains an economically prosperous region in the long term. Increasing tourism and large-scale events such as the football world cup in Qatar 2022 as well as advances in industrialisation and urbanisation will see construction activity continue for many more years. Large infrastructure projects such as roads, energy parks and apartment construction signify the long-term utilisation of the construction industry and building suppliers.
Many outstanding projects such as Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, King Abdullah Sports City in Saudi Arabia, Doha's metro, the Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi and the Avenues Mall in Kuwait have one thing in common: They all show the diversity of fischer's fixing systems that were implemented for the various requirements of these buildings.
Many opportunities for growth are arising for fischer fixing solutions on the Arabian Peninsula in the years ahead. Because be it plastic dowels, steel anchors or chemical fixings – there is significant demand for professional and safe anchoring. The fischer subsidiary founded in 2006 distributes products and also offers their customers complete system solutions and technical advice with their team of highly qualified engineers. Seismic calculations are part of this, too. The comprehensive services on offer include on-site seminars and training, pull-out tests and direct delivery of products to the construction site.
Since its founding the UAE subsidiary has continuously increased its turnover and has opened distribution offices in the neighbouring countries. We are now represented in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. The aim is to continue to contribute to the success of the family business from the northern Black Forest with double-digit growth. fischer UAE will continue to be involved with infrastructure measures and the construction of industrial facilities in future.
The company hopes to further expand distribution in future in order to acquire new client groups.
The UAE subsidiary does not restrict its activities to construction, however. Social commitment is also high on the agenda, which is why the team at fischer Dubai is involved with Senses Residential Care Home, AL Noor training center in Dubai, a facility that offers safety, shelter and care to children whose families are unable to afford it.
fischer UAE will continue to achieve its growth goals through customer focus, continuous improvement of all processes and with highly skilled employees. A qualified team of engineers and technicians provide on-site training in the newest developments in fixing technology to users, planners and architects. Experts in the field of research from the German headquarters are regularly on site in order to analyse the demands of the Arabic market and to incorporate these into current development projects.
The international fixing specialist highlights its work on the Arabian Peninsula with further investments. In the autumn of 2016 the subsidiary will open its new local administrative centre in Dubai, where a fischer AKADEMIE also will be established. The large team consisting of employees from 13 different nations will the commence further demanding projects on the Arabian Peninsula and beyond in order to achieve the set expansion goals.
Top placement for fischer in the rankings of most innovative SMBs
- fischer is 2016 innovations champion
- Sixth place amongst 3500 SMBs
- First in the fixing systems industry
- Highly recommend MEP Supplier of the year 2016
The renowned magazine “Wirtschaftswoche” analyzed approximately 3500 SMBs from eight branches and their innovative conduct in an extensive study. The fischer Group of Companies came sixth place in the overall ranking of the “2016 innovation champions”.
The business magazine published the top 50 most innovative German SMBs in its most recent issue, giving a detailed portrayal of fischer's innovative strength. The Group of Companies received 185 from a possible 200 points in the evaluation.
In order to filter out Germany's most innovative SMB, a multi-tiered selection process was carried out. In the first step, the data of 3500 German companies who generate profits of between ten million and one billion Euro were evaluated. Annual accounts and presentation were included in the analysis, amongst others. Subsequently, 400 companies were shortlisted and were given their own so-called innovation score. Two-thirds of the score were calculated by the company's innovative strength and one third by the company's performance. A paramount factor for the innovative strength was whether the company stands out through continuous innovation (innovation dynamic) and whether it is categorized as being innovative by the market as well as by competitors (innovation reputation). Innovation management was also decisive: “the company must set the pace for innovation, and not be an imitator”, the study says.
The evaluation also included economic indicators such as turnover growth and earning power. “Those who are innovative will grow more quickly and achieve more sustainable profits”, says Sebastian Theopold from Munich Strategy Group Consultation, who worked on the study with “Wirtschaftswoche”.
The study's most innovative SMBs are located in Baden-Württemberg, according to “Wirtschaftswoche”. Here fischer come second, immediately after the writing utensil manufacturer Josef C. Lamy (186 points).
Recently, fischer Middle East awarded as highly commended MEP Supplier of the year 2016 by ITP Group of Companies which is again a very prestigious moment to be recognized for our innovative products and services
