Women lead the change in “Women's Peak Performance Summit”

Saturday , 23rd May saw a different air in Abu Dhabi as the 1st International “ Women's Peak Performance Summit” took off in Abu Dhabi at Eastern Mangroves Hotel. Summit was organized under the patronage  of HE Sheikha Dr Hind Al Qassimi, Chairwoman of BPW Emirates Club & BPW Middle East Company and member of ruling family of Sharjah.

The event, organised by entrepreneur Anna Heystek and business consultant and mountaineer Jules Lewis, featured seven presenters expert in their field , speaking about how to soar in a variety of areas, including finance, career, environment ,physical and mental wellness.

More than 100 women and few men from all walks of life , different backgrounds , varied cultures attended the event for self development . This one- day event had 7 interactive master classes by 7 motivational speakers, highly successful in their respective fields. The event was created for all women by women to provide valuable insights and empower participants with the confidence and courage to develop and succeed both personally and professionally.

Women of the 21st century are breaking and pushing boundaries, and succeeding in all fields. This summit was about embracing and enhancing the strength and spirit of women and providing a framework and guidance on how to use these strengths to explore and unlock her highest potential.

Dynamic experienced presenters lead a series of seven (7) interactive master classes and each session provided valuable life skills and clear action plans to take away.

Among the 7 powerful women who have gone beyond their potential in their chosen field was 16 year old Arushi Madan , well known teenaged environmentalist ,  on a mission to inspire and empower more eco-warriors to get into action to lead into greener future. Arushi ,peak performer on peak “Environment” , was  the youngest speaker in the panel . Arushi , with her passionate and energetic presentation , mesmerized the audiences by giving important details on environment issues at hand , causes and their impacts , what we need to do , seriousness behind it and green and sustainable tips. She did an interactive exercise with participants to  reflect and make them realise how eco –friendly they are so far and what scope they have to improve. She enthralled everyone with her efforts , initiatives and actions she has been taking in the field of environment which made her win so many accolades both national and international. She concluded her session with a pledge , asking all present to stand and take pledge with her to take concrete personal actions in both their personal and professional lives to make the world greener and more sustainable. She clearly won everyone’s hearts with her passion , skill , achievements and willingness to inspire. H.E Sheikha Dr Hind Al Qassimi , impressed with the young environmentalist , applauded her .

Upon asking Arushi about the experience , she said” It was definitely an esteemed opportunity for me to present my session in this Summit and share platform with such experienced professionals and dynamic speakers . I am grateful to HE Sheikha Dr Hind Al Qassimi for her generous and kind words of praise which meant a lot to me . She herself is a symbol of immense woman power.”

Arushi is an Environment Ambassador to the Middle East by Tunza Eco Generation . Also as Bee’ah Ambassador , Arushi has been supporting Bee’ah (Sharjah’s environment and waste management company) in their efforts towards environment conservation. Arushi was also promoting Bee’ah in the Summit.

Summit also presented another motivational speaker on “Social “ peak –Ms. Seema Shetty , founder and Managing Director of “BiteRite” , “Zari Zardozi” and “Dancing Bird” , Director of Central Training Cell of NMC Healthcare & Bright Point Royal Hospital and daughter of well known successful businessman Mr. B R Shetty (man behind NMC and UAE Exchange business empire).

Other speakers included  Dr Leila Edwards -“Emotional” Peak ,Carol Talbot - Mental Peak, Alan O’Donnel-“Career” Peak, Sandi Rich –Financial Peak..

During this season of spring which symbolizes growth , this Summit oriented participants’s thoughts towards growth , self belief and go beyond fear , beyond their normal potential to reach the peak.

Event ended with “Dubai Drums” engaging participants in exploring their rhythms and beating the drums to rejuvenate.

Summit proved that women have potential to lead the change.
