17 year old Arushi Madan, a known environmentalist and inspirational teen, was recently invited by Brainobrain to give a guest lecture to youngsters as part of their NLP Leadership development summer camp.
Arushi addressed around 60 students from Brainobrain Dubai, Sharjah & Ajman in an interactive session where she gave them community service ideas and shared with them her own experiences how she has been volunteering for various social causes. She gave them an insight of time management and how to seek opportunities with one’s youthful zeal and energy.
She echoes her belief saying “One must give his 100% for studies during study time, must follow one passion /hobby which he loves doing and apart from them one must spare time to work for community and making it a better world. By social, voluntary or community services, one gets to learn lot of soft skills like communication skills, inter-personal relationship building art, learning to handle obstacles, to manage events, leadership skills, learning to interact with different segments of society”.
She used the platform to encourage the young students there to unleash their youth potential, be the change makers, volunteer and give back to community.
Talking further about the session Arushi explained, “All the participants/students were very excited, carefully listening to me, asking questions and I am sure that they carried back home a strong message, will start caring for others especially the under-privileged, evolve towards kind humans, will aspire to become better citizens and eco-conscious residents. I am satisfied having giving such a session as it is very much needed to tell youngsters that Youth are the driving force behind creating a brighter future, youth is the hope of every nation and that If I can do it, you can also do it. If they see someone in front of them as example who has been doing all social, voluntary services apart from studies then they get inspired”.
Arushi Madan has been herself the student of Brainobrain’s “Abacus Skill Development Programme” which nurtures the children’s brain to develop some of the foundation skills for learning such as Memory, Visualisation, Concentration, Listening Skills, Learning Ability, Creativity, Self Confidence, Speed & Accuracy. During her student tenure at Brainobrain, Arushi won Championship awards twice in Brainobrain’s National Abacus competitions. “Brainobrain’s aim is promote heart-based education for everyone all over the world. It nurtures children and brings out the real leader in them. Apart from enhancing my memory and concentration skills, I learnt lot of other skills from Brainobrain which helped in shaping my personality as a student leader. Brainobrain is indeed one of the world’s leading Skill Development Centre for children”.
Arushi is known for selflessly working towards the environmental cause of advocacy. She has been delivering environment lectures in various summits, holding environment awareness sessions, workshops, visiting schools, planting trees, holding recycling/best out of waste workshops, initiating “Waste Segregation set up”, “Energy saving system” kind of projects for her community. She has won various national and international awards for her efforts and contribution towards social and environmental cause.
On the lecture day too, she emphasized on environmental values and the current environmental issues. She discussed about alarming facts and figures as an evidence that everyone has to start adopting an eco-friendly lifestyle which is not a daunting task. She concluded her session with a joint pledge to give back to community.
“I strongly believe that youth are the backbone of society. Youth have immense potential to bring about any revolutionizing change. Youth are the present as well as the future. UAE leaders have been doing so much to empower youth, have even appointed youth ministers. Then there are amazing institutes like Brainobrain which not only excel in their courses but also focus on leadership development and heart based education. It is upto us, the youth, to grab opportunities and show our youth power and make a positive difference”, says Arushi Madan.
