November 10, 2015: The International Coffee & Tea Festival (ICTF), is all set to open its doors to entrepreneurs, hospitality professionals and aficionados of coffee and tea tomorrow (Wednesday, November 11, 2015) at the Meydan Gallery & Convention Centre in Dubai, UAE. Running until November 13, the show is a reminder that the Café business is a booming industry with a huge scope of improvement in a region that is fast developing its own café culture

Along with a trade exhibition, ICTF will feature various National Level Coffee competitions, including the Barista, Latte Art, and Cup Tasters Championships. These championships are affiliated with the World Coffee Championships and is aimed towards ushering a high level of expertise that is relatively new to this region. The event will also feature the much sought after Certified Coffee Training Programs conducted by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA).

ICTF allows international and regional suppliers to reach out and engage their audience through interactive platforms such as the Espresso and Brew Bar and a series of Business Presentations focused on the coffee and tea industry.

Anselm Godinho, who heads the ICTF's organising team, said: “Coffee and tea continue to gain popularity in the UAE. More specialty cafes are springing up all over the place, much to the delight of discerning customers. The Café Business has proven to be fun, easier to manage than full-fledged restaurants and highly profitable. With the increasing competition comes quality and one of our objectives with the International Coffee and Tea Festival is to educate consumers to demand better on the one hand and provide the training and tools to Cafes to meet the growing demands of consumers, on the other”.

“Over 7,000 visitors are expected to attend the Festival in Dubai this year and plans are in place to introduce regional competitions and coffee education programs in Abu Dhabi later this year,” concluded Godinho.

ICTF is supported by the SCAA and World Coffee Events (WCE). The show will run from November 11 to 12, 2015 from 11.00 am until 7.00 pm and from 3.00 pm until 10.00 pm on November 13. The event is open to visitors above the age of 15. For more information, log on to http://www.coffeeteafest.com.
