In line with its CSR initiative in collaboration with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination

Abu Dhabi, November 28, 2019- Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), the authority responsible for driving digital transformation in Abu Dhabi, organized a ceremony to honor the graduates of the second batch of the ‘Support Initiative 2019.' The initiative is an intensive training program that has been designed to train and develop the capabilities and skills of people of determination, in order to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market.

The graduates were honored by H.E. Dr. Rauda Al Saadi, Director General of ADDA and H.E. Abdullah Al Humaidan, Secretary General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, in the presence of senior management from both organizations.

H.E. Dr. Rauda said: “We launched this initiative in line with the directives of Abu Dhabi Government to empower people of determination, provide them with equal opportunities and ensure their inclusion to perform their roles in areas such as education, employment, and community participation, among others. The initiative was launched through ADDA's Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre, with the belief that people of determination have the strong will and ability to participate actively in national development process and growth of the economy.”

Al Saadi added: “The Support Initiative is the result of the cooperation between ADDA and Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, focused on empowering Emirati nationals and supporting their efforts to contribute and promote digital transformation in the society, which showcases Abu Dhabi's leadership as a champion for people of determination in the UAE.”

She commended the various services being provided by Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and their continuous efforts to ensure their welfare. Furthermore, Dr. Al Saadi emphasized the importance of Support Initiative in strengthening future cooperation with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination which constantly works to empower people of determination and enrich their quality of life through harnessing the latest technologies in key services.

H.E. Al Humaidan commented: “The Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination works hard to bring into reality the government's wise directions and ensure the effective integration of people of determination into the community. We do this through the establishment of sustainable employment programs that support the development of the UAE and Abu Dhabi, which is part of the nation's vision to provide them with equal rights, empowering them and ensuring they experience happiness. Our collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority is in line with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination's commitment to empower and integrate people of determination into society and create real job opportunities for them in institutions, departments, and in various government and private sectors.”

H.E. highlighted that the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Executive Council, highly appreciates ADDA's role in leading Abu Dhabi's digital future through its support to government partners. ADDA has been providing the platform to enhance government services and supporting entities in developing efficient ways of delivering services that enrich people's quality of life and increases growth opportunities for businesses and individuals.

Al Humaidan further explained that the ‘Support Initiative' represents a successful model of government cooperation, which opens new opportunities for growth and further training for people of determination where they can enhance their capabilities in line with leading international standards. He noted that such initiatives are not limited to the people of determination and sets an example that can be implemented in all government institutions to contribute to the development of the country.

He said that the partnership with ADDA has supported the organization to implement its strategic plans focused on further empowering people of determination by developing educational programs that can expand their opportunities for employment. He added that this is in line with the nation's vision to strengthen linkages between institutions and integrate people of determination while promoting inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

Mona Al Marzouqi, Director of Business Support, Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre, explained that the Support Initiative is a five-week training program specifically designed to educate people of determination, develop their abilities and prepare them for the job market. Upon successful completion of the training program and meeting the requirements, one of the successful trainees will be appointed as a customer service representative in the call center.

Memorandum of Understanding

On the sidelines of the graduation ceremony, ADDA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, seeking to enhance cooperation between the parties. It focused on incorporating the services of Zayed Higher Organization for People with Determination within the TAMM system and a collaboration to raise awareness in the community about the TAMM system as an effective platform which serves the people of determination.

H.E. Dr. Al Saadi and H.E. Al Humaidan signed the MoU in the presence of officials from both sides. The agreement aims at ensuring the capabilities of TAMM Centres in meeting the needs of people of determination while also helping increase awareness about TAMM services for them.

The graduation ceremony featured musical performances by a band from the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and several people of determination from Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination.
