Japanese manufacturer sees spot in sought-after business list as a reinforcement of its commitment to customers and employees

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 03 January 2018: Panasonic is ranked among the top 10 regarded companies by Forbes Global, in their recently released 2017 list of the top 2000 companies in the world.

On the basis of trustworthiness, honesty, social conduct, the company as an employer and the performance of the company's product or service, Panasonic scored 96.38 on a scale of 0-100 and stands second amongst the Japanese companies who made it to the List.

The Japanese market leader in consumer electronics and B2B solutions ensures its reliability and reputation in improving its customers' everyday lives through the products it offers. In a similar way, the brand also believes that providing good career development and work-life balance to its employees should always be a top priority.

Hiroki Soejima, Managing Director, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa FZE (PMMAF) said, “Being ranked in the top 10 companies in The Forbes Global 2000 List enhances our credibility as a company of high repute. We celebrate this great news with none other than our valued customers, partners, and employees as they are always of foremost priority in our commitment to quality and innovation and for the trust imposed on us.”

The Forbes Global 2000 List is a well-known annual must-read in the business world. This year for the first time, Forbes teamed up with Statista to conduct the global survey among 15,000 participants from 60 countries and took the project one step further—identifying the 500 World's Best Employers, the 250 Top Regarded Companies, the 250 Top Multinational Performers and the 250 Top Growth Champions among the Global 2000 around the globe.

Panasonic also made it to the 110th spot of 2017 Fortune Global 500 companies, higher by 18 levels than last year, on its 23rd year to be on the list. The world's 500 largest companies generated $27.7 trillion in revenues and $1.5 trillion in profits in 2016. Together, all 500 companies employ 67 million people worldwide and are represented by 34 countries.
