With a world-class collection of hospitality and dining offerings, as well as the Capital's most exciting celebrations, Al Maryah Island is establishing itself as Abu Dhabi's most vibrant business and lifestyle destination

Abu Dhabi, 19 April, 2017: Having recently marked a plethora of milestones, Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi's business and lifestyle destination, will showcase its expanding collection of dining and hospitality offerings, alongside its array of celebrations, at this year's Arabian Travel Market. From the official opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi in October 2016, to the announcement of The Galleria's Dining Collection, to its impressive New Year's Eve celebrations in December 2017, Al Maryah Island has firmly established itself as an energetic business & lifestyle hub and a mixed-use destination in Abu Dhabi.

Ali Eid AlMheiri, Executive Director of Mubadala Real Estate & Infrastructure said: “To date, the developments on Al Maryah Island have created a vibrant, sought-after address that is appealing to visitors from around the globe and plays a pivotal role in contributing to the continuation of Abu Dhabi's economic diversification, in line with the Government's vision. Looking at 2017 and beyond, with the upcoming opening of the super-regional shopping destination Al Maryah Central, the expansion of the waterfront pedestrian Promenade, and many other exciting developments, we expect to see increasing numbers of international travellers descend on Al Maryah Island.”

Al Maryah Island offers a range of family-friendly festivities and celebrations over the course of the year, including New Year's Eve celebrations, National Day, and family-friendly seasonal attractions and celebrations including Chinese New Year festivities and Winter Wonderland that are highlighted below:

• New Year's Eve 2017 featured concerts from much-loved regional music icons Hussain Al Jassmi, Mohamed Hamaki and Mohammed Assaf, and was attended by over 14,000 people
• In December 2016, Al Maryah Island's waterfront Promenade was transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland offering a variety of winter-themed attractions to celebrate the holiday season with Winter Wonderland
• On December 2-3 2016, Al Maryah Island invited residents and visitors to join its festive celebrations to mark the UAE's 45th National Day
• Al Maryah Island welcomed the Chinese Year of the Rooster with a colorful program of Far Eastern performances and activities. From Chinese dragon dances, to an exciting food market, the island was packed with authentic experiences for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

The hotel features 154 spacious guestrooms and 35 suites, and the iconic tower also includes 131 serviced residences. The tower was designed by renowned New York architecture firm Handel Architects, and was inspired by the nearby glistening Arabian Gulf and the vast desert that surrounds Abu Dhabi city. The hotel features nine world-class restaurants and is connected directly to the luxury shopping destination, The Galleria on Al Maryah Island.

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi

With more than 130 offerings under one roof, it is a must-visit in the capital. The Galleria is introducing additional exciting restaurant openings as part of its Dining Collection, comprising a selection of first-to-Abu Dhabi restaurants, including La Petite Maison, Coya, Nusr-Et, Sa-mar, Eat Greek, Loca, and Roberto's. The Dining Collection sits alongside popular existing restaurants such as Zuma and Bentley's Bistro, creating one of the most desirable dining destinations in the Middle East.

Al Maryah Central
Al Maryah Central, a retail-led, mixed-use development on Al Maryah Island is set to open in 2018 and will become the new flagship shopping, dining and entertainment experience in the Capital. It will feature the first Bloomingdale's in Abu Dhabi, the first Macy's outside of the USA, and more than 500 sought-after brands. Al Maryah Central will also be home to 100 restaurants, and offer a wide variety of entertainment options. In addition, two 400,000-square-feet residential towers, set for completion by 2019, will house a hotel and serviced apartments.
