Sharjah, UAE, March 31, 2016:   Skyline University Sharjah and Sharjah Tatweer Forum collaborated together this year to conduct the 2nd Inter University Business Plan and New Idea Competition 2016. The Founder President of Skyline University College Mr. Kamal Puri and the COEC Mr. Nitin Anand have highly engaged with their vision and support to nurture the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Club at Skyline which was inaugurated by Mr. Jassem Al Beloushi, Chairman, Sharjah Tatweer Forum during 2015.

For the business plan category the participation was received from higher education institutions whereas for the new Idea Competition, general public was also invited to participate. Innovation Club members visited different malls in Sharjah to collect information from mall visitors. There were three categories in which ideas were being requested namely (1) Enhancing Happiness and Well Being of Residents of Sharjah (2) Enhancing Transportation and Improving Traffic Situations in Sharjah and (3) Developing Vibrant SME Sector in Sharjah.

Hisense Co. Ltd. a Chinese multinational white goods and electronics manufacturer was the main sponsor of the event who provided winners and runner up teams with tabs and phones.  Mr Terry, the MD of the event was highly passionate in sponsoring this event as he feels entrepreneurship is an important element of development for the society. The event was supported by Cool and Cool with gift hampers for students and Tejar Dubai. A generous monetary prize was given out to the winners and runner up teams by Skyline University College. This is turning out to become an interesting event for HEI students in the UAE.
